In the Winter of 1993, Jody left the group to pursue other interests in Branson. Ashley then recruited college friend, Scott Fraker, from Niangua, Missouri, to become the quartet's new bass singer.

   On January 16, 1994, Scott's second church date with the group, Brian was hit by an 18-wheel semi-truck on the way to the performance in Marshfield, Missouri. The guys reached out to former member, Terry Kaufman, to help fill the void during Brian's healing.

  The group's popularity really grew during this period as Scott wowed audiences with his 4 1/2 octave range, and as Brian shared his testimony of overcoming tragedy.
